Don’t think buying your kid a new guitar’s going to earn you a trip to debtsettlementfamily.comyou can get a great guitar on the cheap if you know where to look! Here are a few ideas for getting your child started on music without breaking the bank
Look Online: The easiest and best place to look for a used guitar is online – sites like Craigslist and Ebay are treasure troves of awesome musical instruments. If possible try to find a basic acoustic with some books and extras (like a case) to get your child started off right.
Try a Music Store: Most small cities have at least one music store and most music stores carry used instruments for sale. If you have doubts about your kid sticking with their instrument consider renting the guitar for the first couple of months.
Hire a Cheap Teacher: Local music students are a great resource for cheap lessons and you can find many great guitar players to teach your child through church bands, too. Speaking with someone who doesn’t teach music for a living is the best way to save some cash.
